Yoki Farm

Before I resigned from my previous job, I love having my rest days during the weekdays because of the many possibilities. I hate having to spend my rest days over the weekends because most people would be at the mall and I hate crowds. Other than that, you can still finish some government related appointments if your days off falls on a weekday. During one of our usual chats, the Gala Gang decided to head out to Yoki Farm. I was planning to watch Pitch Perfect but that would have to wait.

I was utterly excited to head out to Yoki Farm as I was told that this is one of the few places one must go when in Tagaytay. This 15 hectare lot houses a vast collection of antiques, a hydroponics farm and a mini zoo!

First stop: The Hydroponics Garden
Check out the lettuces! It's sooo pretty!

Interesting enough, there were tons of Mulberry trees nearby and we just picked some to try it. It's amazing how tangy and sweet and sour it tastes like. Warning: Do not eat too much as it somewhat stains the teeth and lips like how plum does.

Next: Mini Zoo
Check out the Blue and Gold Parrot named Jake. He is always camera ready. He was barely out in the front area until I stood by his cage. He came swooping in and was somehow waiting for his close up.

This golden parakeet was a sight to see as well.

Next stop: Antiques
Check out this Japanese Ancient Samurai Mask, still intact after the passing of time.

How about this cabinet full of typewriter, a TV and even a PC with 2 floppy disk drives?

Check out this Jade Boat, how intricate and how crazy heavy this must have been.

The collection is endless and worldwide. Makes you wonder how they managed to bring everything here right?

If you plan to break the usual trips to coffeeshops and mall hopping without truly buying anything, spend an afternoon at Yoki Farm.
