Bag of Beans

After our trip from Puzzle Mansion and too early to head out home, we stopped by Bag of Beans for coffee. Little did we know is that the place also houses a cafe and a wide space for functions. Scratch the coffee and we ordered dinner instead. 

I explored the place and boy was it huge! They have a cafe out front where you can buy pastries and bring some coffee beans, souvenir items and even pastries. They have an al fresco space fit for about 25 tables, then they also have canopies for large families and an enclosed space in case it rains. You can always find a spot for you and your date anywhere. When we arrived the place was almost packed. We opted to stay at the back end where the decors seemed like that from the houses of Westeros.

The interiors were great! They have tables for couples, a wide table for families and tons of tables for everyone. I believe they can accommodate as much as 70 guest at once. Wide open spaces for al fresco dining and chilling out with friends. They make use of the cool Tagaytay breeze to their advantage. As we wait for our dinner, I looked at how fast fill out the other tables nearby. Heard that this is the main branch and the one near the rotonda is the newest. As of this writing, they have a new branch next to Days Hotel Tagaytay.

The Pork Chop with Mashed Potatoes is a great choice if you want to get the best value for your money. The serving size is enough for two. You can even opt to share this with a friend while you also get another menu option. They serve two pork chop slices and the mashed potatoes with buttered veggies on the side. Taste-wise it was seasoned well. The meat was perfectly cooked close to well done. No hint of redness from the meat with a good lean meat to fat ratio. 

What I love about this meal is the mashed potatoes. Creamy without a hint of milk and butter. It was a toned down version of KFC's mash. The steamed veggies were still crunchy and the colors were still vibrant which means that the produce were fresh. The barbecue sauce tasted great as well. It is reminiscent to A1's.

They serve Breakfast All Day which is perfect for anyone who likes to have their breakfast eaten during dinner time. Great place for dates and for that much deserved TreatYOself days! They have two other branches for you to check out. Serving the same type of meals and wonderful service.
